How it works

For teachers

Joining as an educator takes about five minutes and one verification document.

1. Create your account

Sign up with your school or personal email. You'll set a password and confirm a few basic details.

2. Submit verification

Upload a school ID, a recent pay stub, or a verification letter from your district. We review most applications within 2–3 business days.

3. Browse and request

Once you're approved, browse open opportunities. Each listing shows the event, the number of tickets, the deadline to enter, and how winners are picked (random draw or first-come-first-served).

4. Get the email

If you're selected, we'll email you fulfillment instructions — usually a digital ticket transfer or will-call pickup details. Bring your ID to the venue and enjoy.

For donors

If you have tickets to share — a single seat or a season's worth — we make it easy to put them in the hands of grateful educators.

What we accept

  • Sports tickets (any league, professional or collegiate)
  • Concerts and music festivals
  • Theater, dance, opera, and other performing arts
  • Family-friendly events, museums, and attractions

How it works

  1. Reach out. Email donors@tixforteachers.com with the event details and ticket count.
  2. We list it. Your tickets appear on our public listings page with the preferences you choose (random draw or first-come-first-served, fulfillment method, request deadline).
  3. We handle distribution. Teachers apply, we pick winners according to your rules, and we coordinate the transfer or pickup.
  4. You see the impact. We share thank-you messages from teachers who attended events you donated.

Tax acknowledgment

Tix For Teachers can provide donation acknowledgment letters for tickets given through the platform. We're a registered nonprofit and our EIN is available on request.
